Any genealogist will agree: fully reconstructing a family is a time-consuming task. GeneaGenie makes it significantly faster and easier, through a unique two-step approach.

First, all records are found in which both parents appear together: birth certificates, baptism registers, marriage records... Then, a separate search is run for each child across all available sources. This immediately surfaces each child's further life records too. Think of marriage certificates that only mention a birth date, or death records that only name the spouse — GeneaGenie automatically connects these puzzle pieces for you.

Already have a GEDCOM file? Then it gets even easier: select a couple from your GEDCOM and GeneaGenie immediately shows which children you already have in your tree — and which ones are missing. Every search in GeneaGenie is powered by our own machine learning algorithm. That may sound technical, but you'll notice the difference immediately: where other search engines only return exact matches, our algorithm understands how historical data gets distorted over time.

Through intelligent fuzzy matching on names, dates and locations, spelling variants, transcription errors and differing place names are automatically recognised and linked. A Marie Charlotte Corryn recorded elsewhere as Maria Carolina Carryn, a birth year that's off by one, a village listed under a different name — GeneaGenie makes the connection.

The city archive of Aalst makes over 245,000 civil registry records freely available through the Made in Aalst platform. The collection covers birth, marriage and death certificates from Aalst and its surrounding municipalities for the period 1796–1970, entered by a team of volunteers. An essential source for anyone with roots in the East Flemish Dender region.

Memorial Cards – Familiekunde Land van Waas – 682,955 records

Familiekunde Vlaanderen, Land van Waas region, has indexed over 680,000 memorial cards and obituary notices from the Waasland area. A particularly valuable source for 20th-century research in the region around Sint-Niklaas. GeneaGenie matches against the basic data from their freely searchable index. Found a match? AlleFriezen – 2,830,017 records

AlleFriezen is a collaboration between the Frisian municipal archives, the Historisch Centrum Leeuwarden and Tresoar. AlleGroningers — an initiative of the Groninger Archieven — covers everyone who was born, married or died in the city and province of Groningen, from the 17th century to the mid-1950s.
